1st Class Bus to Merida from Cancun

What is 480 Pesos? ADO first class is 278 peso, ADO GL 342 and ADO Platino 466.

anyone know f the gl or platinum class service runs from Cancun to Merida and what the cost is?

Yes , they do run and as I said in my message, GL is 342 pesos and Platino 466. Many operate daily. You can see the schedules at http://www.ado.com.mx

They serve several Merida terminals. The main one is ADO Came.

The $480 peso route is the direct bus from the Cancun airport to Merida.

That’s good to know that ADO beats NJ transit…when you refer to “Direct” Cancun to Merida…is that actually a Non Stop to Merida?? and what is the difference between 1st class, gl & Platino other than price>>>

I hadnt looked at the fair difference . Really a premium for going directly from the airport. If you connect in Cancun, the total is 326. Also from the airport, only the 1PM departure is a bus, the others are 12 passenger vans. So 480 to ride in a van to Merida.

sorry for the confusion. what would be ideal for me is to get a platino bus from the airport in Cancun that goes directly to Merida with no stops…I assume that Platino is the most upscale of the 3 (1st class, GL & Platino). I am aware that I can go into Cancun to get all the different buses that go to Merida but if possible, I would prefer to catch the bus at the airport, thereby omitting the trip into town, and ride the nicest bus line possible (I assume it would be the Platino service). Is this possible?? the van doesn’t sound like something I would like..I’m tall and want to be comfortable for my 4 hour ride. Platino and GL offer drinks ???

Having done this a couple weeks ago…

There is really one one bus from the Airport to Merida. It’s at 1:30. The other two departures are the vans.

The 1:30 bus is the lowest end bus — not GL or Platino. It still has the bathroom and entertainment. It’s probably not going to be terribly full, either. Even this bus is fantastic, though…

As mentioned above, you are paying a big premium to leave from the airport.
